Parenting and Leadership have a lot in common: they are both about taking care of those whom God has entrusted to us.

This teaching has a few (real) pointers to strengthen and equip you for parenting and leadership in the Kingdom of God, led by His Spirit.

To answer the following questions –

If you are a parent, choose your children, if you are a leader choose someone whom you are leading/teaching/pastoring/helping/managing/discipling.

a) How have you helped this person to feel accepted (that they are good enough)?

b) How have you helped this person to feel recognized (that you notice their value and unique abilities)?  

c) How have you helped this person to discover and develop the potential that God has put in them?

d)  How have you helped this person to develop their faith in God?

e)  Has this person been open to receive guidance, encouragement, as well as correction from you? Motivate your answer.

f)  How have you made an effort to understand this person and to see life from their perspective?

g) How have you made an effort to strengthen your relationship with this person?

i)  Name one mistake that you feel you might have made in your relationship with them, or in the way you have treated them, taught them, or led them.

j)  Name at least one thing that you can do, that you KNOW will bless them and you KNOW will make them feel loved and appreciated.
